* Heroes became a curse and a blessing. Great if you want to do it all alone, but it also made GW even more anti social than it already was.

* Skill Balance and new classes:
Adding more classes and skills, often very obviously broken, made what they already had trouble balancing even more of a mess.

People are usually lamenting that the "meta is boring and stale".
The problem is, it was called that already 2 months after release with the exception of a few weeks after Factions when people had to experiments with new builds.

But hey, do not worry, the same guys who balanced Guild Wars 1 will use their experience to do the same to Guild Wars 2!
